CFUW St. John’s Great Big Book Sale
If you love books and are looking for the extraordinary, check out CFUW St. John’s Great Big Book Sale, held each spring. Here you may find anything from a Charles Dickens first edition to the latest best seller, and quite a bit in between.
The success of each sale results from the generous support of the public who donate thousands of used books every year and then come to the sale and buy them all back!! We are most appreciative and we like to believe we are “turning books into scholarships”. We also believe that the Great Big Book Sale is recycling at its best.
Proceeds from the sale go mainly to scholarships and also support other initiatives of CFUW St. John’s.
CFUW Great Big Book Sale 2024
CFUW St. John’s thanks the public for another successful book sale 2024! Thousands of dollars are now on their way to scholarships and bursaries at Memorial University of Newfoundland, the Marine Institute, and College of the North Atlantic. As well, there are thousands of dollars going into our Social Outreach programs for next year.
Book Sale 2025
Please look for information about Book Sale 2025 in February, 2025. We are unable to store books between book sales so we hope you can keep your books until our next collection. If that is not possible, the charity shops might like to have them.
