If you love books and are looking for the extraordinary, check out CFUW St. John’s Great Big Book Sale, held each spring. Here you may find anything from a Charles Dickens first edition to the latest best seller, and quite a bit in between.
The success of each sale rests on the generous support of the public who donate thousands of used books every year and then come to the sale and buy them all back! Together we “turn books into scholarships and community grants”. We believe the Great Big Book Sale is recycling at its best.
Please note: Our 2027 dates will be announced in February 2027. We will begin collecting books a few weeks before the sale date. Unfortunately, we cannot store books over the winter.
